Georgian Prime Minister Irakly Garibashvili responded to the letter of U.S. senators James Risch, Jean Shaheen, Marco Rubio and John McCain. The PM noted that he shared the concerns of the senators about scrupulousness in criminal cases against ex-authorities. President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso said at the opening of a joint session of the European Commission and the Georgian government in Brussels that the EU was committed to signing an association agreement with Georgia, ITAR-TASS reports.Barroso noted that the EU will give Georgia full support of political, economic and judicial reforms.The EU plans to sign an association agreement with Georgia and Moldova this summer. The document will open the European market for the said countries.
